What does SEPA mean?

SEPA means Single Euro Payments Area and designates a single euro payments area. It applies only to transfers and direct debits.

What are the changes?

SEPA Mandate replaces the current debit authorization. The bank account number is replaced by the IBAN. This is no longer the Bank who manages mandates but the Creditor.

What is the deadline?

The mandatory deadline to migrate transfers and direct debits to SEPA standard is 1 February 2014.
